I am not a coldplay fan at all. I think that most of their songs sound the same. Besides that who names their daughter Apple and their son Moses?

Re: Coldplay - Your Views?

I don't think they're too bad. Yellow will always be a great song! Weird story though, I got the soundtrack to Ewan McGregor's motorcycling documentary and Coldplay were on there. But even better was a band I'd never heard of called 50Hz with a track called Panic Attack. Maybe smoe of the Coldplay fans out there know it?

Re: Coldplay - Your Views?

never quite understood what's so great about them. Or why they got famous in the first place. The music is slow and completely uninteresting, the lyrics are pathetic, they have a sell-out attitude and if i hear the vocals from one of their songs on the radio one more time i'm gonna get a fucking stroke.

hahaha, i find it hilarious that someone would choose Oasis to "rock out" since i find their music just as boring as coldplay. Well, ok, Oasis are slightly better and their music has been important in some way i guess.

i used to not like coldplay. but now i love them. true, all there music is very simple, but sometimes less is more. and a rush of blood to the head is amazing, i used to not like x and y but its really grown on me. the vocals on the song fix you are really well done. i disagree when you say they are boring, and uninteresting. you also said it was slow, which i am not sure was a good or bad thing. (slow music means bad music?) however, i understand were you would get that opinion. i mean, i used to be the exact same way.

I never said slow was a bad thing, that's right i just simply said their music was slow. But in this case I DO think the slowness is a bad thing. Since every fucking song they do is slow, the variation isn't there, therefor the music can't grow in me since it's (according to me) never changing. And i have given them a chance, i've heard all their albums and has not (yet) found anything that appeals me in some way.

his vocals are not of key or anything, i mean that's something you just can't have an opinion about, if someone sings false, it's false, but i simply don't like his voice and how he uses it.

i kind of like those names. at least they didnt copy them. like having your name on a message board be an extremely popular pop band. such as panic @ the disco. just kidding...

Parachutes is definitely their best album. I didn't really like them when they came out at first but then they grew on me. Their music is really laid back which is good, but they didn't really try to challenge themselves.
