Re: Coldplay - Your Views?

The group are incredible live but overplayed far too much on the radio.

I like coldplay a lot, they make some great songs, never heard them life, wish I could.
Not that overplayed, but I listen to kerrang most of the time. And not much else.

I think they are a good band that almost everyone will like (for example, my entire extended family), but extremely overrated.
I agree I loved Parachutes, Rush of Blood but lost interest and later heard X&Y and thought is was the dullest album I ever heard... I have given Viva some time and a listen and it seems to be better than X&Y but I think I have decided that their best was Parachutes and Rush of Blood. Those are the 2 Coldplay albums I will keep with me and forget all the rest.

Re: Coldplay - Your Views?

Every now and then you need to listen to some overly sentimental songs - ergo - Coldplay (...........or Barry Manilow)

They are so dull - nice jackets though

Re: Coldplay - Your Views?

I think far too many people jump on the 'Coldplay are boring' bandwagon, some of there stuff is a bit depressing I'll give you that but in general I actually quite like them.

that having been said X & Y was one of the most disappointing albums I have ever bought considering all the hype surrounding it, I much preferred Parachutes & Rush of Blood to The Head.

Re: Coldplay - Your Views?

Coldplay is super great, its just always a shame that their concerts are sold out like by the second that they open the ticket sale...which does prove that they are awesome!!!

Re: Coldplay - Your Views?

C'Mon Shiver is mint!!! and there are a few others. Trick is not to listen to too many tracks back to back. Nice vibe live too!!! They have their place. Not to sure about the new single though. What do you guys think?
