Anybody have an acoustic or electric guitar and enjoy playing it? I got a fender acoustic for christmas and am now addicted. Need some nice songs to learn though, any suggestions?

say, I'm just finishing high school this june and i thought on buying one for me...any suggestions? I was thinking on buying something in the price range of 200-250$ or something used, any good brands?
How hard is it to start from scratch? :P
I tried to play when I was a teenager but I just couldn't not get the hang of it. I think that it is because I have small hands with short fingers, and the blisters sucked.
