i dont have a favourite, dont think i could choose just one, but then im indecisive like that anyway
some that have been mentioned already, hitchhickers guide to the gallaxy, catcher in the rye and 1984 because there is something realy unsettling about that book.
Iian Banks' -the wasp factory, and another one by him, Espidare st i think its called is also pretty good. i also realy enjoy Robert Rankin books but dont have a particular favourite...an then thers always harry potter. The nightwatch trillogy, cant remember the author, sum rusian dude

Ah, you mean Sergei Lukyanenko. The Watch books are great, and I absolutely love the Night Watch film, I love how stylised it is. Fantastic stuff.

And always good to see another Hitchhiker's Guide appreciator!

there u go, thats the one!!!! yeh i love the film, the day watch film is gud also, but difficult to follow if u're tryin to link it with the books
