Re: Conversation and Relaxation!

Heh, I remember what that was like - had to give up coffee as well when I quit for a while, because of the association.

Oh - and it was good luck with the quitting.

Quitting smoking, not quitting painting.

Re: Conversation and Relaxation!

I've never been able to totally quit smoking. I still have one here and there if I feel like it, but I don't smoke at work or in the house. I do smoke quite a lot of herb to compensate though.

Re: Conversation and Relaxation!

Damn, if I still smoked weed, I would be back to a pack of smokes a day, I loved smoking cigarettes when I was stoned.

Put one over each eye and you can't find your cigarettes.

I've been clearing the guttering - lovely gloop! I'm the only one in the family not scared to go up highish ladder.

But it was only 57 degrees in Belfast today.

We got some much needed rain here in Fort Worth. So instead of normal 102 degrees, we got a comfortable 79 degrees!

Hey - we're recovering from some pretty bad localised flooding here! I told you it was raining! The sun - I think I remember that - big glowy thing -hurts your eyes..........

Re: Conversation and Relaxation!

Hopefully the flooding wasn't too bad. There were some floods here a few years ago. Some neighborhoods on low ground in Dallas were flooded. They were kind of asking for it though.

They had them on the TV news expressing their shock. I still can't understand why some people buy houses on low ground, within sight of a creek, and are so surprised when they get flooded. It's almost like the rich movie stars who buy houses on the hillsides in Malibu, California, and are shocked when either a brush fire burns it up, or a mudslide washes it down into the ocean.

Re: Conversation and Relaxation!

Maybe they're just 'the glass is half full' people - or overflowing in this case! - Hey I made a joke !!!

(I am very tired - please forgive the poor attempt at humour) It's 2 o'clock in the morning and I have to be up at 6 - maybe I should just go to bed!
