Anyone here listen to Atreyu? They're the band that got me started in hardcore, so I'm a big fan.

Their new album is amazing too, A Death-Grip On Yesterday, give it a listen,
Any other fans?

I signed up because I thought it was a real shame that a message board called "HxC Talk" had shit all posts in the hardcore forum.

To be honest, I fucking hate stuff like Atreyu. Almost everything about them annoys me, and I'd say it was pushing it to call them a hardcore band. This is more or less my opinion on As I Lay Dying too. Its far to slick media friendly and a million other things that don't really float my boat.

I supposestuff like Helmet and Quicksand, which although not what I would think of as hardcore now, was how I heard it described at the time, and so maybe got me into hardcore. Then I worked back to older stuff like Minor Threat and Bad Brains.

If you think the hardcore discussion here is shit. Please by all means make some threads. I'd love to have some real hardcore experts join up here.

I don't think the discussion is shit, its the lack of I was reffering to. But early days eh?

Ok, going back on topic, I've never been an Atreyu fan. I've tried to like them but I just dont like their music. Sorry.

I really enjoy atreyu ive been learning to play a bunch of their stuff on guitar so that may be why i like them alot lol
