Re: The Postal Service

My favorite electronic band, hands down. I wish Ben Gibbard would make it his main project.

Then again, I wouldn't want that to bring about substantial changes.

I agree with Leonardo, the way Tamborello mixed the songs is very simplistic, but yet it still doesn't sound bare. (When I think of "bare" sounding electro-pop, The Blow and Yacht come to mind.) Something about Give Up sounds so nostalgic even when I listened to it the first time. The ambiance of the album to me are fuzzy memories of childhood summers and first loves. Does anyone else get that vibe from the album?

Re: The Postal Service

I wish Ben Gibbard would stop wasting his time away with Death Cab... I went and saw them 2 weeks ago because I used to like Death Cab a little bit and I thought it would be good to see Ben... I was wrong it was totally boring I left after 4 songs. My friends who stayed said it never got any better.
Anyways, in other news... I know she isn't electronic but I thought people in this thread would like to know Jenny Lewis has a new album out in September called Acid Tongue with the likes of M. Ward and Elvis Costello as guests... don't know what day it's out; if any one knows let me know...
