I totally missed the Living End's new album

I couldn't believe my eyes when i was browsing Amazon and realised that I had missed the release of The Living End's new album State of Emergency.

It was released way back in March....I am so gutted, I love the original sound that The Living End produce and now can't wait for the CD to reach me.

Has anybody heard or got this album?

They have kept the quality of their music at a quite incredible level with all three of the albums that I own being almost perfect.

I live in the UK and I dont often meet people who have heard of them which is such a shame as I would love them to come over here and play a few gigs.

lol, i dont often meet aussie backpackers but it was an aussie I used to go to school with who introduced me to them. When i was at uni I never heard the living end playing in any of the rock/punk clubs i went to.

Australians have very few rock bands worth caring about. Living End and Silver Chair, its all they ever talk about.

Is the user name a tribute [spunge]? They were godawful.

Ok so I finally got the album and had time to listen to it this weekend and on first impressions it sounds like a very solid album. I wouldn't say it is very groundbreaking nor does it even stray too far from what they are good at but it's catchy and fun so I'm very satisfied on the whole.

I wouldn't call it a tribute but I am a fan, what makes you say they are awful?

I just thought they were a dire, dire band. I saw them live a few times and it was cringey stuff. All of this pales into insignificance when compared to the many , many, stories of them being prime, grade A, wankers. Did you ever hear about the set list fiasco?

Re: I totally missed the Living End's new album

Living End are great! I saw them live last October, they were incredible.

They're amazing musicians. Closing In displayed that.
