It's kinda my job to follow local music. I'm the review editor for my uni's paper and i compile a calendar of local shows every two weeks so i pretty much always know what's going on. Plus, New Orleans' music scene is pretty awesome, even post-K.

I'm a member of a diy collective that puts on independent bands from all over the world. Its usually a touring band or two plus local support, so I'm very familiar with both my local area and Scotland in general. Most of my favourite bands are probably what you might call "local".

Local music in my case is mostly bad music. i don't follow it. If I hear something good, then I listen and even recommend, but usualy I look for good music on the international level
