The Decemberists

I've been getting into the The Decemberists recently, in particular their covers.
They're a pretty well known indie band so I'm sure there are some other fans here right?

Dey is sw33t yo.

I don't listen to them as much as I use to but they write quality shit. The Crane Wife was good though I kinda wanted something more out of it.

Re: The Decemberists

This band has some seriously thought through lyrics. If you haven't already, sit down and listen to them, and I mean really listen. As if the music itself wasn't unique and wonderful enough on its own, every song has a little shortstory embedded in it.

Check out the Castaways and Cutouts album. A Cautionary Song, Leslie Anne Levine, and Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect in particular.

You guys should check out Tarkio, it was Decemberists singer's old band, they released one compilation thats up there with a Decemberists album. I havn't listened to them in awhile. Castaways and Cutouts was my favorite album though.
