What Were They Thinking... Worst Punk Covers List!
Alright in a quick thinking strategy to get this section up and alive again, lets compile a list of the worst punk covers you have heard. This includes punk bands doing covers of over punk songs, punk bands doing covers of pop/mainstream/other songs. And to start it all off THE WORST PUNK COVER GOES GO:
#1: My Chemical Romance - Astro Zombies (original: misfits) While it starts off with the original misfits beat it starts off tragic with that AWFUL she-woman voice. Enough said stay away from this one kiddies, while bands like AFI were doing covers ADDING to quickness and making it overall good this cover is just simply the misfits version toned down to suckyness! |

Most Misfits covers are atrocious. Goldfinger did a really bad version of Ghouls Night Out,
Ex-Cathedra- Karma Chameleon Glasgow cider punks waste hundred of pounds recording this 7" tribute to Culture Club. Why? It sounds atrocious and is so badly produced as to be unlistenable. Shitty song in the first place. MegaDeth- Anarchy in the USA Megadeth reduce Sex Pistols anthem to laughing stock. Boy Sets Fire- Holiday in Cambodia Quite why Boy Sets Fire thought a xerox copy cover like this was going to interest anybody is quite beyond me. Stands out like a sore thumb against their own material. I can probably think of more given time. |
