This is a tough one.
Depends on what era of the Beatles you prefer.

I really like Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper, and recently The White Album.

Revolver was one of my first albums so that's what I pick.

Abbey Road was good for more than the music, it was really iconic. The cover is easily one of the most recognized.

Although you might laugh and lambaste me for this, I will say "A Hard Day's Night" I like every song on that and I know it is more of a soundtrack (or semi because 7 songs on that album are in the movie) than an album, but it is an album I don't have much criticism for.

Their other albums while groundbreaking and great I can have some harsher criticism for.

Re: Best Beatles Album

Personally, my favorite Beatles cd is the 3rd disc of the Anthology set. It's like an acoustic studio takeouts version of The White Album. Sometimes The Beatles will chat, sometimes they screw up in the middle of the song, sometimes they start playing something else out of the blue. It's funny and charming and such a raw display of talent. No strings attached. Only Paul and a guitar for this song, and it sounds awesome.

The other anthology cd's aren't as good, but there are a few pearls in the sand. Apart from that, I'll have to go with Sgt. Pepper or Abbey Road.

Re: Best Beatles Album

I personally liked The White Album and Sgt Pepper was on I listened to a lot years ago. I haven't really listened to the Beatles in a long while though.

Re: Best Beatles Album

What an impossible question. I guess if I had to narrow it down, it would be between Sgt. Pepper and Revolver.

Re: Best Beatles Album

its not really that impossible, because you can at least rule out all of the early pop bullshit that they started out with.
