Simon

Hello. I'm Simon.

I am at Aston university in Birmingham and at the moment my aim in life is to pass the year. I play bass and at uni I'm in two bands: GUI(gooey) and the Pharmacists - where the lead singer is a girl as she is called Gui (pronounced Gee but gooey sounds better) and at the moment we are playing Chili Peppers covers really high so she can sing them. The other is a currently unnamed band which may be called Space Processors or some name beginning with X which I can't remember right now. All we do is fuck about and jam country songs and cover Island in the Sun and try to remember how other songs we said we'd learn go. We're going to actually write a song next practice maybe. At home I'm in a band which is currently called Happy Butterflies but that is a shit name. We have got some actually proper songs.

I like alternative music and I go to gigs a lot. I've seen Arctic Monkeys 15 times now. I spent nearly 6 hours in the rain on Friday to see The Raconteurs, Dirty Pretty Things etc for free, nearly didn't get in but did eventually and it was a good gig. I really like the Pixies and could listen to the Letter To Memphis instrumental forever. Bands I also enjoy include Pavement, Sonic Youff, Reverend and the Makers, The Polyphonic Spree, Radiohead, Eastern Lane and loads of others. Like me please.
