Re: The Libertines
When I first heard the Libertines it seemed to open up doors to other bands that I now listen to often, I first heard The Libertines when I was at secondary school, I think I must have been in year 8 or year 9, so around late 2001 or 2002.
It was just before they released up the bracket and I only heard about 2 songs but already I knew they were different to anything else I had heard. I have never seen The Libertines live but I saw Dirty Pretty Things last summer when they supported Muse at Wembley and that was one of the greatest gigs I have ever been to. I really wish I had seen The Libertines live when they were still together, I have heard they were really good live and got the audience really involved. Although saying that I do really like Dirty Pretty Things and Babyshambles and we would never have got these two great bands if The Libertines were still together. |
