September 13th - Gigantour 2006.

Megadeth, Lamb of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Sanctity, Into Eternity, and The Smashup are all confirmed so far. I'm personally looking forward to all but Lamb of God and The Smashup.

Re: What gigs are you going to in the near future?

In about a week, I'll be seeing Patrick Wolf and in May, I'm seeing Bloc Party. I might go see Joanna Newsom, Andrew Bird and Arctic Monkeys. Then, I'm going to this festival in which it has 3 days of pure pwnage bands: Arcade Fire, Bloc Party (yes, again), Klaxons and the Magic Numbers in the first day. The second day: Jesus & the Mary Chain, LCD Soundsystem, the Rapture, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Maximo Park and in the third day, Interpol will play along with Scissor Sisters and Underworld plus some Portuguese bands. And if I'm really really lucky, I'll go and see Smashing Pumpkins and the White Stripes at another festival. Awesome stuff.

Re: What gigs are you going to in the near future?

rawr were you at coachella?? if so i'm crazy jealous, it's basically every band i've ever wanted to see packed into a few wonderful days - i would totally have gone if i was a west coaster/could afford to fly out there. but in the coming weeks i'm seeing:
the national
the rosebuds
bright eyes
bloc party
feist
the faint

and i might be going to pitchfork, you can't really beat the lineup and it's dirt cheap for three days...
