It's not really punk but...

So who else here is into Ska, or more specifically, the recent third wave ska/punk stuff? Anyone got any Ska bands theyd like to share?

Me, I'm a Planet Smashers fan really.

Quick search and I found these guys. Not really into it, but some of those tracks sound good.

Reel Big Fish?

I seen this band recently. They were okay. Didn't like the lead singers stage presence very much (or voice) but the rest of the band were ace.

It was particularly amusing seeing the lead guitarists guitar strap fall off and see him have to hop on one leg whilst trying to hold the guitar up with the other leg.

Yeah, i'm sad like that.

Reel Big Fish are of course absolutely massive, and I personally reccommend their best of (Favourite Noise) to pretty much anyone and everyone. Fantastic selection of tracks.

Reel Big Fish is excellent.
Streetlight Manifesto is by far my favorite its the lead singer from Catch 22 as well as half of the rest of the band, they're absolutly amazing, they also just released Keasby Nights which is a complete cover of the same album released by Catch 22. Its much better than the original which was made to compete with bands like The Mighty Mighty Bostones during the ska craze in the 90's.

Wow I went on for way too long.

But some other worthy mentions include Operation Ivy and Rancid.
