Re: Pedals
There's a guy, I forget his name, that soups up the Blues Driver and a few other pedals. He basically replaces the wiring with top notch stuff, then tweaks them where necessary. Apparently he does a really good job too. They look cool with a different colour LED at the very least. Not sure thatt's worth the extra notes alone though....

Re: Pedals
the Crowther Hotcake is a boost/overdrive that can either be a clean boost or get very dark and punchy and contributes almost no hiss...i really love it.
also makes a great buffer for pushing your other pedals with, even when it's bypassed. one caveat: always put a Fuzz Face or Fuzz Factory BEFORE any buffered effects as they really want to see a high impedance signal. |

Re: Pedals
For chorus, I'd recommend either the Electro Harmonix Clone Theory pedal, or the TC Electronic Stereo chorus/flanger. I have both of them. They're both good, but different.
For overdriven sounds, I have a modified Ibanez tube-screamer, and a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive. Both good but different. |
