Mostly symphonic, prog, and operatic. Some power is usually all right.

I listen to them all. Though I prefer Black, Doom, and Death. In that other.

But like I said, I enjoy them all. They each have pros and cons, and some are absolutely unlistenable in certain moods. There's times when I can't enjoy Doom, or I'm sick of Black, and would rather listen to some epic Power Metal or Operatic/Symophonic Metal.

I listen to them all on occassion, but listen to more Black, Doom, and Folk or Ambient blends of the genres more often. Still, I'm an avid Death and Thrash Metal fan, but I don't listen to it unless I'm around friends, in which case my usual blaring of Xasthur doesn't exactly pass over well.

Thrash, then black, then doom. I used to be a huge fan of power and prog metal, but I find I like heavier music more.
