Can't really be pinned down to one genre, so I guess alternative is as close as you can get. Over the last week I have really been getting into beck (notably the albums Odelay and Guero), and was just wondering what the general consensus over here was?

I find one or two songs very good and very catchy, though they didn't leave a big enough impact for me to remember the titles. Which is what I find with most of his music - Decent, but not memorable.

I think he is awesome! Don't understand how anyone can say his songs aren't memorable, the man writes the catchiest hooks I've ever heard, Sexx Laws, Debra, Devils Haircut, The New Pollution, Que Onda Guero, Tropicalia, Losers you could hum them all forever. He is definatley one of the greatest songwriters from the last decade or so for me.

His album Mutations gets overlooked a lot but I think it's his best album. Best song has to be Cold Brains
