I'm a bassist, so my rig is very unimpressive. As in, no pedals whatsoever unimpressive.
![]() INSTRUMENTS: Tanglewood Rebel 6A - This is a six-stringer (tuned B E A D G C), and is the bass I do most of my work on. It's very flexible and I like the tone a lot, I've managed to set it so I get a slightly crunchy feel out of it. The neck is very thick, but I have big hands and so I find that comfortable. Fender Jazz Bass (Fretless) - I use this when I want a softer tone, or if I'm doing neat slidey shit. Really nice bass. A totally different beast to the Tanglewood but still quite comfortable. The strings are a little closer to the body than I would sometimes like but I can live with that. AMPLIFIER: Dean Bassola25. I don't have a clue about this thing's specs, it's just a practice amp. I've always been opening for people at gigs, so I've mooched off other people's bass amps thus far. I'm going to need to get a high power amp soon enough, though, partially so I can headline or organise gigs, and partially so I get the sound I want out of my bass, instead of having to leave it on another band's presets. I've got my eye on the Fender Bassman. EFFECTS: None. I want the Rocktron All Access, though I know nothing about the specifics about it. |

Re: Post your rig
I still need to get a few things to complete my ideal rig, but its getting there, so far I have:
A Sovtek Mig 100h head (100w with 6 fucking valves!! face meltingly loud) A Russian Big Muff Pi. Boss BD-2 Bluesdriver. And arriving the start of the week a 70's Antoria Lespaul. Next I'm looking for a cab, but I'm thinking of having something custom built. |
