I remember the first time I heard The Cure, it seems like just yesterday. It was in February of 1984, I walked into an antique bookstore and a friend of mine who worked there was playing the Seventeen Seconds album. I was hooked.

A couple months later "The Top" was released, that was the first Cure album I bought (on vinyl). The one I bought after that was the Japanese Whispers EP, and I proceeded to buy the rest over the next two years.

The first Cure album I bought on CD was Disintegration. CD's were quite expensive at that time, so I remember immediately copying Disintegration to audio cassette and then playing the cassette so much that I wore it out.
