The Slip made their breakthrough with the song Even Rats, that appeared on Guitar Hero 1 as an unlockable extra song. That's where I first heard of them. Contrary to popular belief, Guitar Hero and playing real guitars don't have that much in common. It might actually be harder if you're used to a real guitar. I'm not all that good at it, but I still found myself learning Even Rats at expert level because I wanted to hear the song over and over again and the easy level was getting boring.

So I recently got hold of their album The Eisenhower, and it's really good. If you like Mew, you'll love The Slip.
