Mines is a Pro-Ject something or other. It needs adjusted, it skips off the back end of 7"s.

Re: Who Has A Record Player And What Kind

I've just taken possession of my fathers old separates, as he hasn't the room for them, along with around 100 70's and 80's LPs. Bully bonus for me! All relics of course, but in fine working order.

The turntable itself is a Dual 505. It must be pretty good, as they're still churning out 505-1's and 505-2's, with an MP-11 Boron stylus. Not got the speakers set up tidy yet (I'm by no means an audio engineer, and he had them set up oddly) so don't know quite how well it still sounds. It should be pretty good though, as he's a bit of an audiophile.

I have my father's old JLA3 from the 70's. It needs repair, but it was great when it was working.

Re: Who Has A Record Player And What Kind

When I was a kid, we always had one in the house and refused to get cds for awhile until we heard how simple they were.
I miss the old one so I finally got one off of Fingerhut this year, it's Memorex and it also has am/fm radio...looks like this:

I paid $60 and I'm pretty happy with it!
