Worst Concert You Have Ever Been To?
So I thought I would start the opposite of the thread on the best concert. So what has been the worst one you have ever been to and why? The worst one I have been to was the Aerosmith concert. I want to say it was about ten years ago. I had seen them before and they were great. This one though the instruments, music, was way louder then the Steven Tyler. You could barely hear him. This was my worst one.

Re: Worst Concert You Have Ever Been To?
Probably Tori Amos, at Norwegian Wood in 2004. I was really into her music back then, and the concert just ruined it. Her sound was so bland, and while she was instrumentally impressive, the sound was just absolutely terrible. She played all the right songs, and she played them well, but I just couldn't focus on anything but how much I wanted to kill the sound technician in the face and it was a real shame.

Re: Worst Concert You Have Ever Been To?
At one of the Music Midtown festivals here in Atlanta, I finally got to see Darius Rucker, who I loved with Hootie and the Blowfish. I had wanted to see that band so bad, but he was doing a solo thing, and R&B wasn't working for him.

Well yeah I could see that...they're pretty old now. You'd have to have been around in the late 70s to get the best of them. As for Foo Fighters, I guess that's a matter of opinion. Not everyone's into that so maybe the same concert would have been entertaining for other fans. I usually think this way...I'm just glad to have finally seen them, and if it was really crappy, then oh well, at least the cds are good hahaha |

Re: Worst Concert You Have Ever Been To?
I saw the damned in about 96. They were pish then too. Played too many of the novelty goth pop songs and not enough classic punk numbers.
Re: Foo Fighters. Their records don't really excite me a whole lot these days, but I was really into the first record when it came out so I was quite suprised at how poor they were. I know for a fact that "fans" would say they were brilliant, even if Dave Grohl ambled on stage and took a dump. But that's not the point. I know I go to a hell of a lot more gigs in a year than the average person does in a lifetime. I have higher expectations. I'm not some teenie bopper who's going to be impressed just cause you turn up. |
