Re: How do you find your music?
I have been using Pandora.com. They play all the new releases and you can listen to the music to your taste. If you don't like it, then you can skip it and you mark the ones you do like.. Its really great.

Re: How do you find your music?
I rely a lot on friends, but occaisionally I'll browse CD shops, see an artist I didn't know and check them out. The radio was pretty good too, but there aren't enough new stuff to listen to all the time.
Please, I just realised my grammar was v. bad there. Ignore it. |

Who cares about grammar? Spelling too. Friends are the best for music and then the radio and then CD shops I find.

Re: How do you find your music?
I just browse around other music forums or things like Myspace, my friends are not into the kind of music i am and they tend to listen mainly to dance music, so i tell them about alot of bands i like and its usually ignored! So if i seem over eager on here its because i have hardly nobody to talk about the music i like because they are all numptys.

XM43 on XM radio usually helps me find the latest and greatest.

Re: How do you find your music?
Personally, I use pandora.com to find music, then I torrent it. I can't really trust my friends to find music for me because every time I bring it up they say something to the effect of "Oh, yeah, forgot you like that gay indie music".
But I have also (and I know this sounds stupid) used wikipedia. You can type in a genre, find the essential bands to said genre, listen to them, and go from there. So all in all I mainly use the internets! |

Re: How do you find your music?
1) Usually, I'd go to the band's label and check out their roster
2) Friend recommendations 3) Record stores usually have a section of "New Artists to watch" type section 4) Go to shows at local venues and check out bands I've never heard of (it's usually hit or miss) 5) Myspace 6) What the band members themselves like to listen to. 7) Independent radio stations, such as KXLU

Re: How do you find your music?
i read the bands that good bands thank in their kudos section.
generally if a low-key band is playing with another band, they're setting the gig up themselves and the guys they share the stage with are fairly sweet. |
