Re: How do you find your music?

i would love to find music online, but my computer is so old that it has trouble playing audio or video from the internet. some bands i listen to i have found from reading biographies of bands i love. like, ill read a biography on one of my favorite bands and read about another band they liked so ill give them a listen and so on. so basically if a good band recommends another band, ill try to listen to them.

My friends are the exact same way. One of my friends (who's never even heard the music I listen to and she wouldn't know good music if it slapped her in the face, she listens to mainstream rap and country) even told me one day "I heard from somewhere that the music you listen to is crappy and it's just a bunch of noise." I didn't know whether to defend good music or to laught at her ignorance. lol.

Re: How do you find your music?

Fortunately alot of my friends are very opened minded when it comes to music and have a broad selection. Most of the new music I find out about is either from hearing it at their houses, or reading about them on people's profiles / interviews. I'll normally download the most popular songs from a selection of bands, then buy the CD's for any I especially like.

Re: How do you find your music?

last.fm is amazing for finding new stuff, other than that usually just friends, movies or checking random bands people talk about on message boards
