Diddy fans

Diddy wants us, his fans, to pick his next single from "Press Play". If you go to his myspace page there's a huge banner at the top of the page that says "click here to vote". This is so awesome. Check it out!

Re: Diddy fans

Aww..and I thought this was gonna be a post about The Diddymen

As for P-Diddy, Puff(s his) Daddy or whatever the damn Prince ripping off turd calls himself, he should stick to producing talented performers albums, stop saying "Uh-huh yeah" on them, and stop making albums himself as he's clearly not a performer of any calibre. Such actions would end all wars and world hunger. Well, maybe not...

Re: Diddy fans

Imagine if Biggy had never got shot. We would have never had to deal with anywhere near this level of Diddy bollocks.

Re: Diddy fans

Oh I dunno, he's rather a megalomaniacal figure, he'd have done whatever he wanted regardless of anyone else's misfortunes.

I agree that he earne his initial fame as a performer off the back of Biggies death through the use of a rather nice sample, but I still believe that it's Neither here nor there. Sean Combes would've promoted himself relentlessly, kept all the best beats for himself and so forth, until he was as big as he's gotten, regardless of him recording other peoples superior talent.

It's not as if he would be in competition with Biggie at all, I'm sure we'd all agree, as he's a rapper for those who know nothing about rap. All style (beat wise that is, not vocal delivery) and no substance, perfect for selling pop records.

I have to disagree. I think if Biggy/Tupac had lived the world of hip-hop would be a much different place. We wouldn;t have to worry about business men like Puffy and Jay-z making a mockery of it.

Re: Diddy fans

I think that Diddy is stuck on himself. So even if he is talented this tends to make me not really care either way.

I concede the fact that if they were still about, it would be a different matter as far as chart success for rappers goes, but I think this is due to their music being given a wider listener base due to their highly publicised deaths. Regular pop punters heard that rap was actually good, then they got flogged a bunch of shit, it's simple supply and demand.

I still have to push the fact that it makes absolutely no difference to Sean Combes though. He is a guy who's so full of himself he's brimming over onto his Gucci loafers, and as soon as he made enough money to not have any worries, he would've done exactly the same thing he has done, regardless of anybody elses situation. He's a single minded, self promoting, ego maniac. The only thing that Christopher Wallace did was get him into this position a bit quicker, admittedly through his death, which Sean took full advantage of in his ever so considerate manner.
