Re: Aussie Rock

There are some really good bands here in Melbourne. The Cliffords, Little Red, The Greasers to name but a few, whether they ever get overseas experience is another question.

I normally reside in the UK and have to say that the only bands that seem to have made any recent mark would be Wolfmother and Jet. Jets second album did get slated though as it was very much like Oasis who they often state as a major influence. I think Silverchair have a pretty large following in the UK but this is not recognised by sales etc.

Re: Aussie Rock

I think the Aussie/Melbourne underground scene is heaps better than what is out there in the commercial world.

Red Jezebel
GoodbyeMotel
Something With Numbers

...they're just three of what I believe to be Australias best bands.

The Melbourne and Perth local music scene is epic. Love love love it.

Re: Aussie Rock

There are some amazing Aussie rock bands, as mentioned on here already! The Butterfly Effect is one of them - check out their album Imago =D (no, they didn't pay me to say that)
