I've got a Creative Zen. Certainly not the best, but I think it gives you the most for your money. And you don't NEED iTunes to use it.

I had to sell my Ipod
I haven't used it in over a year and I sold it on ebay for $40 (I made sure to denote the bad hard drive)...
I sure miss it but my cars been in a shop for months so there was no point, especially since it would cost the price of a new one to repair it.

ipod, just for the sheer fact that its the most popular means many music playing programs(yes, you dont have to use itunes) are adaptable for it. it also has the best interface imo.

Sure the ipod is the best, but it's also way overpriced. If you can get a cheap used ipod, go for it. But buying a new ipod is a waste of money, in my opinion. The ipod ripoffs (like the zen) are pretty much the same, and they're much cheaper per gb of storage.

I'd recommend I-river. But the Creative players are good too.

It may not be the best but I've been really happy with my Sansa. My husband has decided that he really likes the convenience of having an mp3 player built into his mobile phone.

I'd love for you to explain why "if you use an ipod your a moron". Sure, they're overpriced and overrated, but they're easy on the eye, userfriendly, and were clever enough to patent that touch circle system. It doesn't suck.

ipod has all the features of other mp3 players and more, simply because its the most popular, meaning the most user-made applications are made for it. Meaning it can seemlessley do anything any other mp3 can.

My video has been dropped on the cement sidewalk while biking countless times, and still works fine, ive had it for nearly 3 years now. And when it does eventually die, 50 bucks to make it last 3 to 5 more years isnt too much in my opinion.

Well Ipods were the first thing I had ever heard of and had only heard good things about them at the time. Now I do know they kind of suck haha...I want one that won't be screwball on me constantly and is easy to use.

Popular ≠ Best. And one thing I really hate because of ipod is all of this i prefix shit. It's all over the language now.


And some of the reasons to use ipods expressed here are just silly. Easier to use? I've used like ten different mp3 players and they were all easy to use.

My ipod broke, when i spoke to the nice people at apple about the fault they said that it was a problem with that generation of Ipods and they were sorry for the inconvenience but i could but a new one from them for the discounted price of £169.


shortly after i stopped shouting and my blood pressure returned to normal i asked the nice lady on the phone why i would purchase something again when it was shit the first time she said and i quote 'everyone else does'

Wrong. All of you. The iPod is most certainly worth the price because of it's user-friendliness, good looks, and features. I love my iPod and have had it for 3 years with no fuck ups yet. Can't wait for my iPod touch!
