change every thing you thought or knew or thought you knew about JAZZ. yes JAZZ ive been looking in on this amazing genre for awhile now and i find that the best drummers and creative singers come from jazz. I have a local college radio station and every uh Tuesday i think they play two hours of jazz and i find it to be very original and fun i havent really kepted up with names and stuff but the local scene is good from what i listen to.

Jazz has never gone away, and it has never been bad in general, it's just a matter of not being easy to appreciate for the casual music fan.

Someone who knows and enjoys the subtelties in music can get a lot out of jazz, whereas the vast majority of people who simply listen to music for a nice beat, guitar riff or whatever, they cannot get it. Such is life.

I like Jazz from time to time. We have a guess you would call it a Jazz Club here and they have some great acts playing. We go up from time to time to listen.

Jazz is great! I picked up on it recently also but I have always known about it and I don't think it ever really went away...

If you wanna talk about jazz mention a band, a record, at least a song. Discussing a genre as big as jazz without narrowing it down is impossible. Jazz is the mother of thousands of subgenres. Discussing Jazz as a subject it self is EXACTLY like having a thread about Rock. if I say "Hey i just found this genre, its great. Its called rock. What do you think about it?" no one would be able to take me seriously. This exactly the same, the only difference is that Jazz is not, anymore at least, a genre for the big mass. its a genre for passionate listeners and real music lovers. Mostly musicians.
