Matt Pond PA

Finally. Well, it hasnt been too long since matt pond PA has released anything, but this is a band that is known to release eps and full lengths almost every year. I like the fact that mppa does this; always creating fresh ideas and bringing them out quickly, without waiting years inbetween albums like so many bands do these days.

Their new EP, If You Want Blood is going to be out next tuesday, the 19th of June. They have a few songs up on their myspace page from the cd and they sound really good. IT seems as though they have once again matured, maybe changed up their lineup a bit as well.

Also, it doesnt end here. mpPA will also be releasing a new full length this september. Just in time for the fall, the new semester, and then shows! Be sure to keep a lookout for both of these releases. I've been a fan of these guys ever since the Green Fury came out and they have only gotten better and more talented throughout the years. If you are unfamiliar with their music be sure to check out myspace.com/mattpondpa OR their band website mattpondpa.com (they have some free songs on the site that you can download from previous albums.

tell me what you think about them. i'd love to meet some fellow fans!

Love mppa! They are definitely one of the more underappreciated bands out there. Their new ep is pretty good, but I'm really excited for the full-length, I'm pretty sure it's called "Last Light"? I'm even more excited for a possible mppa tour since I've never been lucky enough to see them live.

yea emily. I would definitely try to check them out if possible. I've been fortunate enough to have seen them numerous times in and around New York City, since they reside here. They always play a strong set, especially if they are headlining the show. They'll play an encore also. They're a lot of fun to see.

Re: Matt Pond PA

I stumbled onto their myspace page the other day and saw that they had some new tracks up from the ep. They sound pretty good and it's getting me even more excited for the new album.
