I was wondering if there was a site that was strictly Indie music where you could listen to some of the music coming out now? Thanks

you can try epitonic.com. I'm not sure if its still maintained. Last time i was on they had the new cat power on the homepage but it already had been out for over a month. However, even though it may not be updated anymore, there are a ton of free mp3s on there. definitely worth checking out

Also, if you dont know of the band matt pond pa, they have some free mp3s at their site as well. i actually used epitonic.com to hear them and broken social scene 4 years ago

Is good, free legal downloads the down part is the guy who posts the stuff listens to alot of bad music.

Last.fm – The Social Music Revolution lets you stream a lot of music. the awesome thing about it is that you can download a lastfm player and type in the names of bands you like and it'll play songs from those and similar artists. it's a great way to discover some new bands.

Click on "top artists" on myspace music. it lists the top 100 indie bands in a given location.

you should try some of the indie music sites/blogs they even offer some sample mp3's or live shows to check out online

gorilla vs. bear . blogspot . com (blog/mps/news)
idolator (funny/news/mp3s/concerts)
musicforants. com (news/mp3s etc)
vles . com (live online concerts/music jukebox/social network)
