Nelly Furtado

I thought I'd take a risk and buy loose as I was after expanding my music collection - I liked the sound of the percussion on the couple of the tracks I'd heard on the radio.

It's a pretty decent album actually - the beats are really strong and there's something about the whole album that really reminds me of Prince.

Is that just me, though?

Re: Nelly Furtado

Its funny you should say that..My husband just told me a few weeks ago that a song reminded him of Prince on the CD I had in the player of the Durango... When I got in there and turned it on, it was Nelly Fertado... I just laughed. But maybe he isn't the only one!

Re: Nelly Furtado

When I kind of thought she was unique, but either way, I am just amazed how Timbaland worked with her voice. I know he did something with Turn Off The Light. Over all it has that international, techno feel, which has that feel that everybody can really enjoy.

Re: Nelly Furtado

I'm not going to lie, I loved this album... people say she sold out.. but I think she always had a bit of hip-hop/r&b in her.
I especially like the percussion on "Maneater"
