Kingmob

One of the more interesting bands to appear in the last few years. Two things in particular that make them appealing to me. Firstly they are in no way metal, but they still have a superb aggresive style to their sound (and despite it sounding simple, theirs some fairly clever bits in there, particularly the full lenght on Jade Tree).

But more important, the band have a lot to say for themselves, they're not afraid to court controversy. Nor do they simply regurgitate punk cliches. They actually have a blog as opposed to a website....Looking For Gold

they're a funny bunch. they kinda cross some traditional punk boundaries, mainly I think to piss off exactly those who are annoyed by bands doing this. I'd recommend the CD collection of their early singles, essential stuff.

I have heard one of the songs and liked it.
As they were in kerrang magazine for a good live performance I was curious how good the music was.
3 guitarists though.
A decent modern band.
I still prefer the classics, but a good band nonetheless.

Both times i've seen them i've thought they were terrible. I had a few tracks on my mp3 which i thought were quite good but they just can't pull it off live. Everything melded into on continous three chord song. The singer has a fuck load of energy though.
