Qft!

Also, if you compare the full lyrics of Lover, You Should've Come Over, you'll see an uncanny resemblance to IKIO. A song bout the loss of a love, funeral opening lyrics that seem to have no part in the actual song except as a metaphor...Jeff was a big fan a covered it many times.

Re: Sad songs

Rob Thomas - Little Wonders
Coldplay - The Scientist
Trespassers William - Different Stars
Porcupine Tree - Stars Die
Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah
Snow Patrol - Make This Go On Forever
Ingrid Michaelson - Keep Breathing
Sia - Breathe Me
Switchfoot - Dare You to Move
We Are Scientists - Spoken For
Jimmy Eat World -Hear You Me/Kill/Polaris

Lots more I'm sure but they top the list!

I'm mostly looking for good lyrics though. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you so so much.

Try a song called "New York City" by Narration. The lyrics are amazing, and you might relate to them.
Search You Tube for "Narration New York City"

I could have been someone
Well so could anyone
You took my dreams from me
When I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Cant make it all alone
Ive built my dreams around you

When will I see you again - Supremes
Guardian Angel - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (at the concert he sang it to his wife-and yes I'm a great big sap!)

Someone may have already mentioned it, but Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World always chokes me.

Re: Sad songs

There's an incredibly sad sounding song that i can't remember the name of. But the lyrics go....

Feels like I'm walking on water,
with no-one around me.
da da da da da

... as I pop on my plaster

No, the colours don't show
and the shoes they don't fit.

Anybody know it from these lyrics?
