Try Rachel McGoye. She's this really amazing female indie artist who can rock the acoustic guitar and the piano. I really like her song "Try, Try."

Re: Recommend me: good Indie

Don't mind if I join in. ..I like this thread. I now have new bands to check out.

Can anyone recommend which bands/albums I should particularly give a listen to? For someone who's into Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, The Postal Service, Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Rilo Kiley, Iron and Wine, Spoon..

I would really appreciate your suggestions.

"Indie" is such a broad term, and I'd like to say, "sorry, Indie isn't a genre.." as well as a big, "Fuck you, Pitchfork media"

Everyone should check out My Brightest Diamond. Best female vocals I've heard in a while.

It's really hard to be a fan of Indie music and only look into UK bands (no offense) but yea..Radiohead is amazing. A band that isn't as big but you might want to check out is Delays. They have a free download on their site if you wanna have a listen.
