What electro tracks are you into at the moment?

Not too much into the electronics, but lately I've been listening a lot to two Tangerine Dream albums - Phaedra and Atem. Very abstract and cool stuff. I also like Massive Attack quite a bit and Portishead, but thats about it.

I think the track your refering to is Landmass. Thats a lot more mainstream than their usual stuff. You should check out the Lifeforms double disc or the album Dead Cities.

Today, its been more FSOL and a load of old Kraftwerk (http://www.chronicles-network.net/fo...ead.php?t=1744) .

I'm still waiting for 3 Autechre albums to arrive in the post. I'll put some comments on here when they arrive.

Yay! My Autechre albums and Richard Devines Asect Dsect arrived yesterday. I put in Autechre: Incunabula yesterday and it hasn't left my CD player yet. I am currently on my 4th listening, its one of the most amazing electronic albums I have ever heard. I put it on yesterday, and to my delight, the first track is actually the theme to the film Pi, I always loved that piece of music on the film, but had no idea it was Autechre. This is one of the most haunting electronic albums I have ever heard, avant-garde and dark, yet incredibly relaxing, definately one to check out. I think I will go for one more listen then put on another of my new albums. Incunabula has me hooked though.

Vangelis from '70 years. That was a weird music. I generally like to listen to such kind of music, but I'm afraid I don't have any CDs at home. Apart from these of Vangelis.

You mean things like Albedo?

I had one of his greatest hits albums - but on vinyl - I had been trying to track Chung Kuo (sp?) for ages, then a friend saw it advertised on TV. I think they re-released another "best of" for Vangelis fairly recently.

Yeah, Albedo. And "Heaven & Hell" for example. This is such weird music that even my parents (that were in their teens in '70) can't hear it. But I like it. I don't know anything about Chung Kuo (sp?) but I can ask my friend - he is fond of Vangelis and I think he knows all his albums.

Yeah they did release a new Vangelis Best Of, its called Vangelis - Odyssey - The Definitive Collection". I have it and its great. Its still that closing theme to Blade Runner that does it for me, so haunting, so Vangelis! Classic!
