Songs So Bad They Amuse

No, I dont mean stuff where I just take one look and turn away in disgust. Every once in a while you find a track so beautifully awful it reduces you to fits of soggy-eyed laughter. This thread is one in which to share those tracks with the world for all to enjoy.

Here's a few to start us off.

King Diamond - No Presents For Christmas
Blackthrone - Live In A Norway
Gyllene Tider - Ska Vi Älska Så Ska Vi Älska Till Buddy Holly
Anal C*nt - Stayin Alive
Manowar - Brothers Of Metal

Have you seen the video for "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by The Darkness? It's hysterical . I haven't seen anything else by them so I don't know if that's normal for them or not. But it gets me every time.

Let's put the X in Sex: KISS

Turbo Lover: Judas Priest

Blind in Texas: WASP

London Leatherboys: Accept

Gorgar: Helloween (Gorgar will get you, Gorgar will eat you...)

I'm quite fond of Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult, One Week by Barenaked Ladies and there's always some good laughs with The Battle of 1814, Hot Rod Lincoln and They're Coming to Take me Away.

Re: Songs So Bad They Amuse

All songs that these so called tough guys take themselves so seriously in. Eg: Rap and Black Metal. Oooh scary. I mean, we get someone like Ja-Rule glorifying murder and such, but in reality, he's just a little dwarf of a bloke who lives in a big mansion surrounded by bodyguards.

No offense intended to anyone who is a fan of his.

Black metal can get mighty funny. There's this one band, can't recall the name, who have a song called 'F*** off, nowadays black metal'. That just cracked me up.

I wouldn't mess with any Black metallers if I were you.

Re: Songs So Bad They Amuse

Well actually Euronymus of Mayhem killed Dead (also of Mayhem), and was in turn killed by Count Grishnakh of Burzum, so it appears as if they largely just kill each other...

Yes, the norwegian black metal community is pretty harsh. Grishnack and Euronymus being prominent examples.

Re: Songs So Bad They Amuse

I've seen some nasty documentaries about Norwegian black metal. Strange is not the word. First Cut is the Deepest - Rodney Stewart. That song by Meat Loaf that starts with the wolf patter???? There are so many lyrically challenged songs....

Re: Songs So Bad They Amuse

A friend of mine got a great book on the Scandinavian black metal scene, I forget the name but it's quite popular-I'll ask. Happily they don't really seem to share so much in the spirit elsewhere: In England metallers put all their effort into growing beards and actively wasting away rather than being scary and killing people.

The english metallers are a lot of posers, anyway.
