I was excited for the new Band of Horses, but it turned out to be a disappointment, despite the fact they ended up on MTV. Bleh.
Wolf Parade and Tokyo Police Club should both release their second albums this year.

Colour Revolt (also exceptional) Tokyo Police Club (a GEM) Vampire Weekend (may possibly be the soundtrack of 08 for me) Tapes N' Tapes (love it)... These are recent albums of 08...ones that I am anticipating... Death Cab Kooks Coldplay
