I need a temporary alternative to a bassist

me and my freinds are forming a band but we have everything bar a bassist, we've looked into it and currently can't find a suitor I was wondering if theres software or any other alternative to having a bassist, this is only temporary of course

lol sounds about right I played Bass in a band for a few years, and sometimes got a bit disgruntled at being treated like a session musician.

Just pop a chair on the stage with a tape player doing bass recordings.. no-one will notice hehe.
