Re: New Bands Thread!
I'm gonna be biased and say the acts on our roster first:
Buswell - buswellmusic.com (UK boy/girl indie folk/post-rock) The Flaming Moes - theflamingmoes.net (Swedish indie pop) Ox - oxmusic.ws (Canadian alt-country) Then I'd also recommend the following: Paula Valstein - NY songwriter, got a hint of Buckley about her Vijay Kishore - Talking of Buckley, this guy's the Brummy version for me. Amazing vocals. Beirut - Great band which sadly I hear have just split. Not positive on that though. 65 Days Of Static - Amazing live instrumental band, with stunning visuals. recently supported The Cure in the US and are currently touring the UK. Check out their dates. That'll do for starters. I have hundreds of bands I could recommend. |

Re: New Bands Thread!
Support Brett Dennen! There is this site I found, summerofmusic.vervelife, where you can use My Coke Rewards points to download an exclusive music bundle with Brett Dennen’s songs and music videos! There're also some other cool artists to listen to. All you need is 50 points to download the free bundle from My Coke Rewards.

Re: New Bands Thread!
The NME (I know, I know...) have been pointing me in the direction of some decent new bands recently. I like goFASTER>> - bit like The Futureheads, only more witty (like The Arctic Monkeys - oh no! I'm lapsing into 'lazy journalism' mode!) Team Waterpolo are interesting. Don't usually like 'happy indie' and their stuff is VERY happy! Both are on a compilation by, er, CatCutter Records called 'A Sketch For Summer'. Brandon Steep on there as well, though I think it's meant to be new bands. The Steep have been around for a few years. Saw them support The Lodger, who are a great band.
New bands - I could go on... ![]() |
