Smile What ho, fellow indie rockers! :)

Why, hullo there!

I'm Spiggy, the victim of my friends' inability to call me by my real name. I'm addicted to baked beans on toast, tea and music. And learning about exciting new things.

I enjoy playing the guitar and the piano, programming, reading and discussing philosophy, politics, computer science and basically anything that pops into my head. I like writing. Poems, short stories, essays, silly scribbles... you name it. I'm not that good at songwriting though and I'd like to change that.

I'm a little obsessed with travelling and learning all sorts of languages, I'm especially fond of Dutch and Old Norse. I'd like to be fluent in the former one day. Being travel-mad as I am, I try to get out of this Middle-European country as frequently as possible, I find the Slovenia - England destination extremely familiar.

The reason I'm here is pretty obvious - lack of indie rock talk. Here in Slovenia nobody's very interested in alternative music scene so I can't really share my love for it. I don't like to limit myself with genres but if I had to I'd probably say I listen to goth rock, darkwave, postpunk, indie, some old school punk and also a tiny whee bit of viking metal (probably because I'm really interested in Norse mythology). Well, I guess I could jot down some bands I like so here we go: The Sisters of Mercy (all-time favourite), The Cure, Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys... And all the random little songs that have found their way into my mp3 collection.

Well, I think that was a quite long "Say hi" but I think it gives you the idea of who I am and what music I like.

Toodles!
