Oh my god. I think these are my favourite band, I know almost all there stuff and I really want to go and watch them but I need to find out when they are touring in the UK again, hopefully soon .

I respect Green Day. "American Idiot" had balls.

It's amazing that in 1994 they were the biggest band in the world with dookie. then, 11 years later they did it again with American Idiot. What other punk band has been able to maintain mainstream appeal for 13 years without sacrificing their core sound/image/attitude/values. Green day never sold out, and still sold millions of records.

Loved Dookie and still play it on a regular basis - liked all their albums up to American Idiot.

I don't know what it was about American Idiot - I've only played it once in it's entirety and have had no inclination to play it again yet. I don't think it's a bad album - I just found it boring and Billie Joe's fondness for 'puns' more irritating than usual.

always loved Green Day. Even tho they went all my chemical romance looking last time around, American Idiot was still a great album, and there one of those bands that have kept it original for a long time. Warning is one of my all time fav. albums ever.

I have to admit, I almost turned the Tv off when I saw them on The television, until I herad the words, and I laughed out loud. Yeah, they look like every poser/punk boy-band out there, but they stil say things that no one wants them too. I have some respect remaining for that. And, if they put a couple of mainstream sacrifices in there to appease the editors, Ok. I have a skip button.

i wouldnt say greenday are really punk :s the old stuff was SKA and was waaaay better than the newer "mature" stuff they are doing
