Title and artist for Canadian song about going on a date?
This is a hilarious Canadian song, that a good friend put on a mix CD for me, but it's not the one by Andrew WK. Here are some of the lyrics:
"Well, it's hard for us to be together, this is a fact I know, Cause the bus routes aren't the greatest from St. John's to Nanaimo (sp?) Oh, but I don't care, I brush my hair, and I clean my nose, So, what do you say, Let's go out today, I hope it doesn't snow! 1, 2, 3, 4! (Belle & Sebastian-style guitar picking) Let's go on a date, Let's go on a date, Let's you and me, go on a date! We could go see a Blue Jay's game at the great (?) Skydome or walk across the Lion's Gate We could go to the Parliament Ground And protest all round And get chased by the RCMD! Or we could go to beautiful lake Winnipeg "Hey look at all the ants! Come on, let's dance!" "oh yeah, okay!" Singing Tooodelooo deloo deloo deloo deloo Toodeloo deloo deloo Toodleooo loo loo loo Let's go ride on the A-rail (?) And hold hands in Saskatoon Or we could go to the corner of Bluer and Young street.... etc. Can anyone tell me the name of the song and the artist?? I've been looking for it for a long time, with absolutely NO luck! Big hugs, The duck. |
