Interpol, anyone?

Hey guys, any Interpol fans?
They're my favourite band and I was lucky enough to see them when they came to NZ (lucky, because hardly anyone comes here!)

I would probably describe them as alternative rock, with a pretty clean/polished sound. I couldn't pick a favourite album of the three they've got, but song-wise I'm a big fan of: 'Pace is the Trick', 'The New' and 'Take You on a Cruise.'

You know, I can enjoy it for a brief moment, but for some reason that waning voice just gets to me. Not quite sure what it is.

Really pro band, they do what they do well. Not a huge fan, but I do rather like Interpol. I am more of a songs rather than albums guy when it comes to them really though.

Re: Interpol, anyone?

Interpol is also my favorite band. They are quality. I can't honestly pick my favorite album but if someone had a gun to my head, I suppose I'd go out on a limb and say...erm...god hard decision... "Turn On the Bright Lights".

Favorite songs by them:
"Roland"
"Obstacle 1"
"Pace is the Trick"
"Not Even Jail"

Haven't caught them live yet, but I hope to sometime soon. God-willing I get the cash together to go to any shows this summer... : /

They're worth a listen! The lead singer is autistic - if you research the meaning of his lyrics it goes right back to some court case about a woman called Rosemary from the early 1900s. Not too cluey on the details I just know my obsessed mate researched it all one night! Crazy tho, a lot of meanings to their songs!

Re: Interpol, anyone?

Interpol are an incredible band.
I just got my boyfriend into them and he really isn't into a lot of music. I'd definitely have to say I love Antics, the best songs on it being Evil, Slow Hands and C'mere, for me anyway.
Though Our Love to Admire has a few brilliant songs on it too. It sucks that I live in Northern Ireland because we rarely get any decent bands playing over here!

Re: Interpol, anyone?

I adore them, they're my favourite band! I've seen them three times and they were always fantastic. And Paul Banks and Daniel Kessler are seriously hot!

My favourite album is Turn on the Bright Lights, it's absolutely amazing. I've listened to it a million times and I'm still not sick of it. I love all the albums though. It's hard to pick favourite songs, but if I had to I'd say Stella was a Diver, Specialist, Not Even Jail, NYC and Pioneer to the Falls. I'm sorry I could go on forever about them, I'll stop now or else I'll take up the whole page raving about them!!

Their new album is excellent. It's actually a very nice compliment to Turn On The Bright Lights. A great band.
