Conor Oberst
Bob Dylan of the 21st Century or just a hipster doofus?
Personally, Bright Eyes is one of my favorite groups, but I know a lot of people who think Conor Oberst is just some emo hipster freak with no talent. |

Re: Conor Oberst
Conor is very good imo. Though he is a bit hit and miss at times, when he does something right he really does. There are few greater songs about self loathing than Waste Of Paint. A subject taken under the bracket of Emo perhaps, but since when have teens from the noughties had the monopoly on selfdoubt?

Re: Conor Oberst
Conor Oberst is a joke. Bright Eyes is weak.
Don't know. I could never get into them. And I tried to... A friend of mine is a huge fan and he swore he'd make me love them. *shrugs*

Re: Conor Oberst
I love bright eyes. He is most certainly without any doubt someone who will leave a big impact on music. But in all fairness, the role he holds as being our generation's Bob Dylan should have gone to Jeff Mangum. In my opinion he was much more stunningly poetic than Dylan and Oberst and certainly way more musically original.

Re: Conor Oberst
I much prefer Elliot Smith over Conner Oberst for my acoustic taste. I feel more connected to the introspectiveness of Smith's lyrics, than Oberst's sometimes abstract, or should I say pretentious song structures.
