Vulnerable Things Debut out now on Bluesinlondon Records
“If you like your Blues low, down and dirty, a la Black Keys and The White Stripes then look no further than Vulnerable Things. Not only are they a first class blues act they’re one hell of an indie rock outfit too. There isn’t a single weak song on this eleven track CD”
- Blues Matters! Magazine, The UK's biggest blues magazine "Growly, gravelly and downright old-school dirty, this London quartet are not meek or mild... Like a band of rogue blues prophets Vulnerable Things are out to lure you in for a musical soul conversion... an intense simmering and raw bluesy swamp stomp." - London Tourdates Magazine I'm not allowed to put a link here but just search 'Vulnerable Things' or 'Bluesinlondon Records' and you'll get there. Highly influenced by blues artists but approaching things with a songwriting sensibility - influences ranging from Tom Waits and Black Keys to Dr John and Ray Charles. Whilst the roots they draw from are clearly evident, their approach is nothing but modern. Nominated and short listed for the 2007 & 2008 UK INDY Awards. Since forming in 2004 they've infiltrated the saturated Lonon Indie scene with their own take on modern blues, as well as performing at blues festivals and venues throughout the country. Their eponymous debut on Bluesinlondon Records is a set of darkly intense tales and personal songs. In a genre where song writing is often not at the forefront, it's refreshing to hear a young band with an album of impressive self-penned material that explores the blues and its branches and fits together as a whole. |
