I listened to Emo first and and then grew into indie... I like Indie better but fond of my time with Emo in highschool :-)

INDIE, indie stuff is so much better. Its more really and not flashy like everything in the pop scene. Also I notice more indie rock people write all their somes and most pop artist dont write any of their own stuff.
