I just mentioned this band in another thread and they were then ressurected in my thoughts but... Do you think that The Rakes are an underrated band? Don't you think that their second album deserved to be up there with the likes of the Kaiser Chiefs and all them other lesser bands who are doing much better?

What ever happened to them now? Are they still together even? I don't think they even done many of the big festivals this year did they?

Not heard anything about them for around 6 months now, their last album Ten New Messages was fantastic.

They are under rated, but, that's half the battle to being Indie. If they got the recognition they needed I doubt they would be so friendly. But I don't agree they are > to the Kaiser Chiefs.

Both albums were awesome. Saw them at the Troubadour in Los Angeles which is a tiny venue and they were amazing live, and this was their first album. Hope they come out with a 3rd!
