Never was one for punk. I find my musical enjoyments lie closer to metal.

Sadly, most of this stuff does not reach my shores. WHat do you think of Agnostic Front?

I'll take Pagan's Mind and Susperia over them any day.

I've been listening to some Sublime and The Vines lately- whether they're punk or not I've no idea, but they're good.

Sublime and Propaghani, are very good. Truthfully I have never bothered checking out Aganostic Front. I don't like much ska, basically only Operation Ivy, though I did see Crowned Kind with the Distillers. They were ok live but I doubt I'd like any of their CD's.

Recently found some Billy Talent- is that punk? Sounds like Sid Vicious with a tad less viciousness.

Ya, Billy Talent is getting pretty big in Canada. I would think it's kind of punk. Maybe post-punk. But they're pretty good.

They are, surprisingly so, in fact.

Re: What punk are you listening to?

I love a lot of older Punk acts...

Dead Kennedy's
DRI (Before Crossover Album)
Subhumans
Exploited
Minor Threat
Fugazi
Black Flag

...among others. Right now, due to this threads inspiration, I'm listening to Bedtime For Democracy by DK.

I would say the most perfect Punk band in history. Their lyrics were intelligently political and they never mellowed. In fact, Jello Biafra is still as deviant as ever...nice to see someone from that era keep their cajones intact and not sell out like John Lydon...

Re: What punk are you listening to?

I have never been one for punk. Especially the new "immature" stuff"! Its just never struck a chord with me. The Dead Kennedys are an exception to that rule for me though. And I hate to be all generic, but God Save The Queen is still a brilliantly bitter piece of pop culture.

Ya, DK is one great band. Jello is still bothering the upperclass, while "Johnny Rotten" is out on game shows.

Right now though Zeke is doing it for me. Pure maniacal fast punk. Wicked fast solos, hounded with incredibly peircing lyrics.

God Save the Queen, and Pretty Vacant are the only songs off the top of my head that I really like from the Sex Pistols.
